Grace Miceli
Grace’s interests as an artist lie in concocting images that extend advertisements for “inappropriate” activity, women in alternative positions of power, the attraction of the grotesque and supernatural, twenty-somethings that don’t feel like ever growing up, a nostalgia for a time that she will never experience, and the embrace of the never-ending awkwardness that is introduced during the initial phases of teenage angst, but most of all she wants to make us laugh and feel uncomfortable at the same time. Currently, Grace studies visual art at Goldsmiths College, works for FUN magazine, is a member of the musical group DECAPICAT and co-creator of the zine Swimming Lessons.
