So Long 33 Marshal Street

Last year was a very productive one for us at Sweet and Sound. We started off in June with a monthly online magazine and since then have taken on a handful of amazing projects where we have had the opportunity to work with some really amazing and talented individuals. An important part of our success so far goes to the chaps at Chapter One gallery. We put on our first ever exhibition there and could not be any more grateful to them for the opportunity. Along with the success of our “New Moves” photography exhibition, we put on live PA’s from Hype Williams and Jammer, and for our final we we co-curated a residency with Ceylan projects. They have recently decided to close the gallery and go for a more varied approach, with a number os shows planned for the coming months which will be held in different spots. Once again, a big thanks to the guys behind Chapter One, and good luck with your future projects…

Here are a few of our highlights from our time at Chapter One…

The opening night of our “New Moves” exhibition was a great success. There were loads of people there enjoying the free beverages and the new work on display. We also had a suprise visit from world renowned photographer David Bailey!

Following the success of the private view we invited Hype Williams down to perform…

Then Jammer…

Then our last thing at Chapter One was our co-curated “Carnivals” residency with Ceylan Projects. We had 12 artists in the gallery throughout the week working on various projects and was anded with a final performance from Hype Williams and family. A great way to and our time at Chapter One.

So that’s the end of 33 Marshal street, but noy the end of Chapter One. We’re looking forward to working closely with them again soon…
