Rebecca Williams
Rebecca Williams I was born in January of 1993 in a small town in North Carolina. Until I randomly saw her first camera for sale online (a Sony D-9), she had always thought photography was out of her reach and not something she would ever have any skill in. From aquiring her first camera it motivated her, but she says she never took any “serious” pictures until she got to boarding school in late 2008. Rebecca’s dad had been a photographer and he had an old Nikon FG with a few nice lenses which gave her a chance to start experimenting. Eventually she decided she wanted to see what film was all about – this was in January of 09. Since then, Rebecca has greatly preferred film over digital, saying “It feels more genuine, like “these are my thoughts, feelings and activities and they are here, on these negatives and on this paper. They’re tangible.”
