long time coming, this one. my friend Tony from Canterbury goes by Beams. if that url looks funnny, it’s because he used to be called Depf. and Depth. and Magic Beams as well. I’ve been listening to/playing Tone’s music for a long time, first including one of his tunes in my January ‘08 mix. sometime around then I asked him to put together a selection for me. he’s just now getting back to me. Tony makes whatever sort of music he feels at the moment, jumping between the reverb-drenched guitar based pop of Atlas Sound, the sample based glitch hop of Prefuse 73, and the beautiful textural ambience of Fennesz. it’s all here in this mix if that sounds like your cup. it certainly is mine, hope you enjoy…
