14/19′s Best of the Week – #09
We’re back! Apologies for not being around last week, we were busy as hell with a lot of different things, including something special that I’ll mention later. Here’s what we’re into this week:
This first one is by Alan Giberson, who is 17 and from Ohio. He is absolutely awesome at one of my favourite formats ever – the 6×7 portrait – especially when it’s of someone as badass and cool looking as this guy. I want to hang out with him all day.
Next, one by Ryan Gaffney, from New York. Ryan and his crew came down to London a few months ago, where I had the pleasure of hanging with them (that means getting really sweaty dancing in Bloomsbury Lanes). Anyway, he just posted up a whole bunch of photos he took here on his website, and they are really great.
We love couples that are equally as cool and good at photography as the other, and Rafa & Alba definitely fit both of those criteria. They are both 21 and originally from Spain, now exploring London and their lives together collectively – and getting some really great shots out of it. The above is by Rafa…

We got this as an email submission from Tommy Malekoff this week, and i stared at it for a long, long time. A tattoo. Of giraffes fucking…Amazing.
This is a photo by Eydie McConnell from LA. Eydie is really great, I love a lot of her photos but I completely forgot about her for a while, she’s been quiet on the internet front (probably living her life like a proper person). We once collaborated cross-continent for a shoot for Vice, which you can see here.
