6 Useless Facts about NTS Radio

This time last week, our good friend Femi Adyemi (who we share our office with) launched his new radio station NTS, broadcast 24/7 from Dalston’s  Gillet Square.

Femi is the most laid back guy you’ll ever meet, and he’s pretty cool as well. Another good thing about Femi is that he knows a lot about music, hence starting up his own radio station. Since sharing an office with him we’ve realised that he lives, sleeps, doesn’t sleeps and eats for NTS Radio. The picture above was taken in the office last Sunday morning. He had been in the office since Friday morning.

The station already boasts regular shows from the likes of Kutmuh, Livin Proof, Martello, GETME, and a monthly live show from The Wire magazine. There are plans to soon broadcast live from events with exciting London-based artists too.

Femi has put together some facts about NTS that you might find interesting. If you find them uninteresting, have a listen to the station at ntslive.co.uk.

- More Prince records were played in our first week of broadcast than any other artist.

- My Mum doesn’t like any of the music on NTS.

- NTS is short for Station (STN) backwards  – we only just realised that yesterday.

- Hosts have already gone through two crates of Redbull, which was sent to us last week.

- Clair (Station Producer) is from New Zealand.

- Clair, Mamiko (Radio Host) and myself have eaten eight bags of mixed nuts since the launch last week.

So there you have it. 6 useless facts from Femi about his radio station. Check out one of the pilot shows below for more of what NTS is about, or listen live here.
