Sophie Davidson is a photographer hailing from Falmouth, Cornwall. She produces spectacular photographs ranging from portraits to still lifes of consumption. I came across Sophie’s work in a show she had a Vinna Street Gallery named ‘Analogue for Good’ where she was exhibiting work from her recent voyage to Ethiopia. She finds her inspiration for creating work in her personal life. She takes influence from contemporary photographers such Ryan Mcginley and Lina Scheynius. Influence for her work mainly comes from films of Journeys such as the diving bell and the Butterfly, Goodbye Lenin. Sophie’s work takes an exploration into the people around her; which resemebles the work her favourite directors Hermonie Korine and Wes Anderson. Here are a couple of images from various projects of hers.
